Enabling LogicGate AI
1. Connect to LLM Model Provider Integration
Before you can use LogicGate AI capabilities, the integration must first be enabled in your environment from the Integrations page. Your Admin can access the Integrations page by navigating to Admin > Integrations.
Navigate to the OpenAI Integration card and click Enable if your OpenAI integration hasn't already been enabled.
- Note: LogicGate AI is currently powered exclusively by OpenAI models. By default, you'll use LogicGate's managed OpenAI API key. However, if you have your own OpenAI API key through a direct enterprise agreement, you can use that key instead.
Once LogicGate AI is enabled, click AI Control Center from the integration card, or navigate to Admin > AI Control Center, to further manage your AI capabilities.
2. Activate and Manage Individual LogicGate AI Capabilities
Navigate to Admin > AI Control Center. Here, you can see all AI capabilities available to you, along with their status and the model versions powering each feature. Toggle each card on or off to enable or disable an individual capability.
LogicGate AI Capabilities
LogicGate AI is made up of two suites of capabilities:
AI Skills are capabilities embedded in the platform to assist you with your day-to-day work, and are included by default. Refer to the following help articles to learn more:
- Text Assistant
- Record Linking Recommendations
- Autofill
- Automated Evidence Testing
- Reporting Insights
GRC Agents are our newest suite of AI agents, embedded in the platform to do the work for you. These agents can handle more complex activities, like completing vendor intake and risk assessments, configuring and optimizing your GRC programs, and surfacing insights across reports and dashboards. Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does LogicGate AI use customer data?
LogicGate AI processes specified fields (e.g., text, rich text, and concatenated fields) to generate recommendations, using either LogicGate's OpenAI API key or a customer-provided OpenAI API key. For LogicGate's API key, request and response data is retained by OpenAI for 30 days, as outlined in OpenAI's platform documents, but is not used to train models. LogicGate AI only uses customer data within that customer's own instance and never shares it with, or uses it to serve, other customers. Using your own API key gives you direct authority over your data with OpenAI.
2. Which Large Language Models (LLMs) are used?
LogicGate AI features use a combination of OpenAI GPT and embedding models, selected to deliver the best balance of accuracy and performance for each use case. We regularly evaluate and update the models in use to ensure the best fit as capabilities evolve. The following OpenAI models currently power LogicGate AI features:
Features |
Models |
| Text Assistant | gpt-4.1-mini |
| Record Linking Recommendations | gpt-4.1-mini, text-embedding-3-small |
| Autofill | gpt-5-mini, whisper-1 |
| Automated Evidence Testing | gpt-5-mini, whisper-1 |
| Reporting Insights | gpt-4.1-mini |
For the most up-to-date model versions, refer to Admin > AI Control Center.
3. Can I disable LogicGate AI if my organization is not ready to use it?
Yes. LogicGate AI features are entirely optional and opt-in — you'll always know when and where AI is in use. Only Administrators can enable or disable LogicGate AI features, at any time, via Admin > AI Control Center.
4. What is the relationship between LogicGate and OpenAI?
The relationship between LogicGate and OpenAI is governed by OpenAI’s Business Terms, which outline the rights and responsibilities associated with using OpenAI's services. These terms apply to LogicGate's integration of OpenAI's models into the LogicGate Platform, enabling features like LogicGate AI. Key aspects include:
- Use of Services: OpenAI grants LogicGate a non-exclusive right to access and use its services, including its APIs, for integration into applications like LogicGate.
- Content: LogicGate may provide input to OpenAI's services and receive output — together referred to as "Customer Content." OpenAI's Business Terms specify how this content is handled and the associated rights, including how OpenAI processes and stores Customer Content in accordance with its Enterprise privacy commitments.
- Data Usage and Retention: OpenAI's Business Terms detail data usage policies, including retention periods and the purposes for which data may be used. By default, OpenAI retains data for 30 days and does not use it to train its models. More detail can be found in OpenAI's Enterprise privacy commitments and platform documentation.
LogicGate AI also allows customers to optionally use their own OpenAI API key, in which case you would have a direct relationship with OpenAI.
5. How is LogicGate AI configured and secured?
The following measures and configurations are in place to safeguard your data and your use of LogicGate AI on the LogicGate Platform:
- Enabling LogicGate AI: Only Administrators can activate LogicGate AI by navigating to Admin > Integrations and enabling the OpenAI integration. Then, at the feature level, navigate to Admin > AI Control Center to review and enable individual AI capabilities (e.g., Text Assistant, Record Linking Recommendations).
- Data Processing: LogicGate AI processes user text-based inputs for purposes including data analysis, automated reporting, generating insights and recommendations, and other purposes relevant to the AI Services. LogicGate logs these inputs to monitor for inappropriate use and to improve product functionality. Importantly, LogicGate never uses your input or output for any other purpose, such as training a model. (LogicGate Subprocessors & Affiliates)
- Data Retention: By default, LogicGate's OpenAI key follows OpenAI's standard 30-day data retention policy. During this period, data is not used to train OpenAI's models. For the AI Text Assistant, OpenAI only receives data provided via prompts. For Record Linking Recommendations, OpenAI processes data from your records (currently limited to text, text area, and concatenated fields), which you can review and approve when configuring Linked Workflow Sections. (LogicGate Help)
- API Key Management: By default, LogicGate AI features use LogicGate's OpenAI API key. However, you can choose to use your own OpenAI API key instead, giving you direct authority over your data with OpenAI. (LogicGate Help)
- Information Security & Privacy: You can find more information about how LogicGate protects your data at our Trust Center.
