Understand how the sender of an email notification behind a Job is determined.
The sender of Risk Cloud email notifications is determined by the type of Job within Risk Cloud or by a setting at the system-level or by individual Job.
Moved, Assigned, Created Jobs
For emails that are triggered by the Moved, Assigned, and Created Jobs, the sender of the corresponding email notification is determined by the user in Risk Cloud who prompts the action.
For example, Selena Goatmez is the user who moves a Record from Step A to Step B. The email notification notifying users that a Record has moved will be delivered from Selena Goatmez. This remains the case for when Selena Goatmez re-assigns or creates new Records as well.
Note: If a message on a Created Job is triggered from an operation, it would be sent from the admin account.
Due Date and Fixed Jobs
For Due Date Jobs or Jobs with Fixed Triggers, corresponding email notifications are delivered by the LogicGate Administrator. However, this default alias can be configured to be more closely aligned with your organization. There may be the preference for these types of notifications to be delivered by "The GRC Team," for example. Please note that only Admin users can make this configuration.
In the Admin > Users tab, identify the account associated with the LogicGate Administrator name. This account will have an email in the following format: "admin+customername@logicgate.com." Click on the email address associated with the account. Edit the "First Name" and "Last Name" Fields to change the display name of the account. Once you have changed the name, please remember to click "Save."
Job Settings
On the Build > Jobs page, on the "Job Settings" tab, a default Email Sender Name can be set that will automatically apply to all Job Email notifications. Set the name then Save Settings to set the default.
The Email Send Name can also be changed on individual Jobs to change the sender on a Job-by-Job basis. Send Names on individual Jobs will override the Name on the Job Settings.
