Learn how to add Record-specific information in email subject lines, content messages, and Slack messages
Generic emails often get lost in the inbox. You can now create contextual notifications by embedding Field Variables into email subject lines, emails, or Slack messages. The Field Variables will automatically populate with the Field values specific to the Record triggering the Job.
Field Variables in Emails
Once you create a Job Trigger, select the Send Email Operation.
To create custom messages, in the Message Details section, click Add Field Variable, choose the Workflow that the desired Field comes from, and then select the Field Variable you want to include.
You also have the ability to insert Custom or System Fields. If you choose a Field from a Linked Workflow, you will need to select whether you would like to populate the message with the most recent Field value or the oldest Field value from all the Records in the Linked Workflow.
How do I include Field results in emails?
Click Add Field Variable in the Email Subject or Email Content windows.
Note: You will not see the Add Field Variable button on the message setup for "Fixed Schedule", because there are no Workflows tied to that Trigger.
Fields from Workflows are differentiated by color. In the example below, the blue pills are from the Mitigations Workflow and the green pills are from the Assessments Workflow in the Enterprise Risk Management Application.

The image below shows what the email will look like if the end-user has not filled in information in a particular Field. Here, the "Suggested Mitigation Activities" Field has not been filled.

How do I include Field results in Slack messages?
If you have Slack Integration enabled, you will also be able to select the "Send Slack Message" Operation to trigger a Slack message. You have the ability to create contextual Slack notifications as well by adding Field Variables to the Slack message Field.
Field results can be included in Slack messages in the same way as emails. Click Add Field Variable located next to the "Slack Content" window, and add the Fields you would like.
