By creating a Read-Only subsection, you can make it easier to review large amounts of data in Risk Cloud by presenting information in a two column format.
Create a Read-Only subsection
In order to configure a Read-Only subsection and organize fields into multiple columns, you must first add a Section and Subsection to a Step. If you have not yet created a Section and Subsection, follow the guide here before continuing.
- Click the gear icon to the right of the subsection to open the subsection Settings
- Click the toggle button to enable Read-Only Mode
- A second area to drop fields will be displayed and all fields in the subsection will be set to Read-Only
- Drag and drop fields to rearrange them or add new fields to the subsection
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Read-Only Mode applied to all fields on a step?
No, Read-Only Mode is a subsection setting. You can configure steps to have a mix of Read-Only and editable subsections as needed. This will allow your users to enter new information into Risk Cloud and review previously entered information all from within one step.
What happens if Read-Only Mode is disabled?
The second column will be removed from the subsection and all fields that were in the second column will be moved to the bottom of the subsection. Any fields that were Enabled, or editable, prior to Read-Only Mode being enabled will be returned to that state.
Can fields be arranged in more than two columns?
Not at this time, but our team is actively working to introduce the option to add a third column to Read-Only subsections.
How can I edit field values in a subsection where Read-Only Mode has been enabled?
The Read-Only Mode is designed for reviewing information and does not allow for users to modify the field values in Read-Only subsections.
