- Record Access

Simplified, Single-Column Layout [October 2023]
This reimagined Record layout follows user experience best practices — providing a more intuitive, distraction-free experience while ensuring users follow the correct order when completing sections of a Record.
Navigation Panel [October 2023]
The navigation panel helps users quickly navigate through the different sections and subsections of a Record, identifying required fields along the way.
Progress Indicators [October 2023]
Shown in our new navigation panel, these progress indicators will help end users gauge how much effort is required to complete their Record so they can appropriately plan their remaining work and ensure deadlines are met.
Comments Panel [October 2023]
This newly formatted section will allow users to read and leave comments as they edit a Record, allowing them to collaborate more easily.
Guided Form Completion [January 2024]
This new visual indicator will guide the end user to the next required field that demands attention. It will help users quickly navigate through forms that have extensive optional or read-only fields
In March 2024, Guided Form Completion was integrated with the footer - now, when a user clicks the 'Incomplete Required Fields' notification on the bottom bar, the page and visual indicator will automatically scroll to the next required field:
Progress Indicator Update: Linked Record Support [January 2024]
The January 2024 release includes an enhancement to the previously mentioned progress indicators. As a part of a Record, end users may be required to complete any number of linked Records. Moving froward, the progress bar will include and reflect progress on these linked Records. As individual linked Records are completed, the progress bar will be incremented.
Subsection Guidance [March 2024]
The March 2024 release includes a rich text field under every subsection header that can store read-only guidance, replacing read-only sections. This feature can benefit end users by:
- Positioning guidance closer to the relevant fields, eliminating unnecessary scrolling and confusion
- Eliminating duplicate section headings on the outline, providing a cleaner, easier-to-use navigation panel
Step-by-step configuration instructions for Subsection Guidance can be found here.
Record Access [April 2024]
Individual Record Access has been moved from the record header (where it lived in the Legacy UI) to the side panel. To read more about this feature, check out our article about Getting Started with User Groups!
Select Guidance [April 2024]
The Select Guidance feature gives builders the ability to position select guidance directly in-line with the select option:
Using this feature can help builders eliminate confusion for end-user experience by placing guidance closer to the end user action, and will also decreases the amount of required scrolling on the page.
To learn more about configuring this feature, see our article Create Fields, and navigate to the section titled "Adding Values in Select, Multi Select, and Checkbox Fields"
Enhanced Comment Notifications [April 2024]
We've added notifications on the comment side panel to alert end users that there are unread comments on the record!
After a new comment is added, there will be a red dot next to the comments icon on the collapsed side panel. The indicator will also be displayed next to new comments.
Not only does this indicator alert end users of new comments, but it integrates seamlessly with our existing global notifications!
Display/Hide Field Guidance for Read-Only Fields [May 2024]
We've introduced a new icon to read-only fields that allows builders to control when Field Guidance is displayed:
If a field is configured as read only, field guidance will be hidden by default. To display field guidance on a read only field, click the new guidance icon (pointed out by the arrow in the above image).
Duplicate Page [June 2024]
In order to optimize steps for the new record experience, we recommend that builders break steps into multiple pages. We understand that can be a tedious process, so we introduced the Duplicate Page feature! This allows builders to copy pages to any step in a workflow. To learn more, check out article on Multi-Page Steps!
The initial iteration of this feature will not be available for steps that include an Automated Evidence Collection section.
Read-Only Subsections with Two Column View [August 2024]
By creating a Read-Only subsection, you can make it easier to review large amounts of data in Risk Cloud by presenting information in a two column format. This format makes it easier to skim for and seek out specific information during a review or when a record is in a repository.
